Ticket Buyers Beware

There are many third-party websites claiming to sell tickets to Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art events. At best, the cost can be at least 2-10 times more than the face value! At worst, it’s a complete scam!

The only legitimate places to purchase online tickets to PIFMA performances are our website, PawleysMusic.com, our ticketing company, www.etix.com.

Yield on the side of caution should you be uncertain about online ordering. Feel free to purchase by phone at 843-626-8911, or in person at the PIFMA Box Office: 14363 Ocean Hwy, Unit 9, Pawleys Island, SC.

Many ticket-sellers you find on the internet are third party brokers, also known as scalpers, seeking to make a profit from your ticket purchase with additional costs added to the original ticket price. Some of these brokers sell fake tickets, which leads to disappointed patrons who are denied entry to a performance after discovering their tickets are invalid.

Please only purchase your tickets from the previously mentioned sources. If you purchase any other way, we cannot guarantee the validity of the tickets, or if you will receive the tickets at all.

How to Spot a Scam

In your desktop or mobile web browser, press on the URL itself to reveal the entire web address. Does the URL start with https://pawleysmusic.com or https://www.etix.com? If not, do not purchase your tickets there.

Some scalpers may even try to confuse potential buyers by selling these tickets using a similar sounding domain or subdomain name. For example: https://pawleysmusic.ticketseller.com. However, this would be 100% phony.
