Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art & Mission Control Studios Fund Choir Binders for Waccamaw High School Music Department
Pawleys Island, SC – Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art and Mission Control Studios have provided 100 embossed choral binders for the Waccamaw High School Music Department. An important part of PIFMA’s mission is to provide outreach and needed tools for a quality music education for Georgetown County’s K-12 students.
These folders protect the music and give the student space for a pencil and materials each day and will be used in clinics and performances, eliminating the need to borrow folders from the community. “Having these folders gives our students a sense of pride and reinforces my expectation of excellence. As I always tell them, ‘every note matters!’”
In addition to presenting world class concerts in the Reserve Golf Club in October, Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art provides music outreach concerts and workshops in Georgetown County Schools The non-profit organization also accepts grant requests from schools for music equipment.
“On behalf of the Board and Staff of PIFMA, we are thrilled to present these binders to Waccamaw High School to provide a higher quality music education for students,” said Gretchen Downer, President, PIFMA Board of Directors.
Mission Control Studios will donate their time and talent to introduce students to the recording arts and is currently working on a project that will include all students — music to graphic artists to business and marketing, to science students.
“We believe in the future of kids everywhere and want to do our part to contribute with our expertise and resources,” said Karl Bingle.
