The Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create and enhance cultural awareness and enrich the quality of life for residents and visitors by providing quality performances, programs, and educational opportunities in music and the arts.
Our Vision
The Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art will be a premier provider of music, visual and performing arts as well as educational opportunities for residents and visitors to the area.
Our Guiding Principles
Our entire board, staff, and volunteers recognize these principles must be met in order to best fulfill our mission to the community and the people we serve.
- We believe in the value of the arts as an essential part of civilization and in its role of preserving accomplishments of humanity.
- The Festival Board members, employees, and volunteers are committed to the mission of the Festival and will competently, ethically, and responsibly act in the best interest of achieving the organization’s mission at all times.
- The Festival will develop, provide and/or support programs, performances, and services of the highest quality and excellence that are designed to effectively and efficiently work toward achieving our mission.
- We believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to be exposed to the arts and that the Festival has a significant role and responsibility to the community in supporting the growth and development of the people we serve and in enhancing their quality of life by furthering their equality of opportunity to the arts.
- We are committed to creating an organizational environment in which all relationships, dealings, and transactions are treated with mutual honesty, openness, fairness, respect, trust, dignity, and integrity.
- We believe in the need for and importance of qualified and trained staff and volunteers and are dedicated to providing them with the training, tools, encouragement, and support they need to successfully deliver quality service to the people we serve.
- We believe that the Festival must operate on the basis of fiscal responsibility and accountability to its stakeholders and the people it serves and must be faithful stewards of the funds entrusted to it.
